History

Founded in 1984 with just six employees, ARKK was one of the first independent “Controls Houses” in the Detroit area, providing controls engineering services to local machine tooling builders. Founder Dick Kerwin has over forty years of experience in the controls industry with a background in metal cutting and assembly systems, including executive positions at LAMB machine tools and DJ Engineering. Since then, ARKK Engineering has continually evolved over the past three decades to meet the changing needs of its customers.

In 1999, Dick’s son Kevin Kerwin became the Managing Director and CEO. While ARKK still maintains the personalized service and attention to detail of a family business, it has grown to become a global provider of systems design, integration and engineering services, with locations in the United States, China, Indonesia, Thailand and Europe.
